We build schools for children who don’t have one. Care to join us?

What children in Syrian refugee camps miss most of all is going to school. We build schools, and also take care of those things around the schools which make them work. Read more about our projects below.

Tent Schools

From the start, our primary aim has been to build tent schools, where children may receive good and safe schooling. Here they learn to read and write in Arabic, Turkish and English. They learn math, biology, geography and music, as well as critical life skills such as personal hygiene, anatomy, safety and civil rights.

Women’s Centres

We have established a center focusing on empowering the girls and women in the camps. At the center a talented female Syrian doctor teaches anatomy, sex education, child rearing, risks in connection with early marriages, personal safety and hygiene. The center furthermore functions as a meeting place for cups of tea and a chat about anything. Eventually we hope to be able to offer different trade classes and informative and inspirational lectures.

Food Bags

In order to learn, one needs proper nourishment. When necessary and feasible, we therefore distribute food bags to those most in need.

Winter Clothes

In the winter, it gets both wet and cold in the camps. We have therefore made sure that all students have received new winter boots and warm coats.

Kindergartens

We also take care of the youngest children in the camp. If there is no kindergarten, the older children often bring their younger siblings along to school, which they are welcome to do, however, it is far from ideal for neither the older nor younger children. We are therefore in the process of starting a kindergarten able to offer the younger age appropriate stimulation as well as clean diapers and all the care they require.
